Creating a New Draw

You can create a new Draw from the Event page (Admin > Tournament > Event). Read below for full details about each customization option.

<aside> 💡 Good to Know • You can create a Draw at any time - before players are added or afterwards. • You cannot finalize a Draw until you have closed the Event (so players can no longer register themselves).

Customization Options

• Draw Name

  The title of your Draw. This will appear in the Tabbed view of your Event page, so it’s best to keep this as short as possible.

• Draw ID

  An identifier for your draw that must be unique only within the Event (i.e. you can use the same Draw IDs for draws that are in different Events). This will show up in the URL.

• Draw Format

  Round Robin or Single Elimination.

• Round Robin Options

  • # Per Group

    How many players you’d like to put in each group. Don’t worry - you can always customize the groups later if it turns out you need to make one larger or smaller.

  • # Advance

    How many players you want to advance to the next round, from each group.

  • Default Seeding Method

    • Snake. This is the default tournament setting.
    • By Division. This is more appropriate for leagues or other divisional play, where you want groups of players that are all around a similar level.
